For 5 years, I ran a retail store. And for 5 years, I discovered problems after they'd already cost me money.
A staff member applying 40% discounts when the promo was 20%. A best-selling product that ran out because nobody checked the reorder. A slow revenue decline I only noticed when I compared months side-by-side at end of quarter.
I'd check Shopify every morning. I'd look at the numbers. And I'd still miss things — because problems hide in patterns that only become obvious in hindsight.
I'm a technologist. 20 years building products. Previous company acquired by Box. Named inventor on three US patents. But Storos didn't come from tech. It came from the frustration of running a store and not having the tool I needed.
